During his 15 years of experience as an occupational therapist in workers' compensation and as a member of The Human Factors and Ergonomic Society of Australia, Sanjiv Parmar has developed a passion to help employers, health practitioners and individuals better understand how the application of correct ergonomic principles can benefit the human body. In 2003, he established Lifestyle Ergonomics to provide specialist consulting and training sevices to help prevent the development of employment or workplace-based injuries and to assist those who have already been affected by injuries, accidents and Occupational Overuse Syndrome.
He says: “As a society we are spending more hours per week at work, facing increasingly greater physical and mental demands. With the increasing costs of compensation claims and productivity losses, people are beginning to realise the value of preventing injury and pain caused by work-related injuries."
In order to ensure that their customers feel comfortable making their purchasing decisions, Lifestyle Ergonomics also offers the ability to ‘try before you buy' – by making their entire range of products available on a hire basis.
Lifestyle Ergonomics is unique in its capabilities, integrating ergonomics consulting and training with the supply of ergonomic products. The company also provides assistance in improving the lifestyles of our increasingly aged population and the disabled.
